About the Program Creators
We, the creators of Get Active Today, recognize the importance of the connection between a community’s understanding of leading healthy, active lifestyles and access to resources supporting healthy, active living. We saw a need to launch these resources into mainstream media to help ensure the greatest exposure, thereby impacting the greatest population.
Active Across America, a social marketing company committed to engaging youth and the adults who care for them in discussing, achieving, promoting and sustaining healthy, active lifestyles and Ascedia, a web experience company specializing in website and mobile development, social web programs, search engine optimization, and hosting, partnered to develop and launch Get Active Today..
Advisory Board
We, the creators of Get Active Today, are not the experts in health nor in how to incorporate health and fitness into schools, workplaces and communities, so using the CDC’s Coordinated School Health model, we assembled an advisory board of experts in the fields of health, fitness, nutrition, school administration, coaching, workforce wellness and community outreach to direct content and provide insight on what works- based on their real world experience.
